This is one of the most informative books I have read about the civil war. The series of interviews cover a wide range of topics, all of which are interesting, from renowned historians and authors. The information would be of particular interest to those with a general knowledge of the civil war, and especially to those who are familiar with the interviewee. The information discussed during each interview is not always new, but it typically serves to clarify, reinforce, or argue previously published material. It is a very informative book presented in a very easy to read format.Product details

Talking about History Historians Discuss the Civil War Civil War Forum QA Book 1 eBook David Woodbury Reviews
An excellent and enlighetning series of interviews.
The question and answer format works well interviewing some top Civil War authors. An enlightening read. Highly recommended.
Good detail of events with interesting insight. Good variety of topics with great list of historians as resources.
lots of very interesting minutia covering many different aspects of the war. just a wealth of detail, and a very easy read. its one of the few books i read twice in the same few weeks. each reading i absorb more of the detail. probably not for the Civil War beginner, but anybody who is into the detail, this is a great book!
This is a terrific, lively, set of interviews that will be as interesting to the serious student of the war as to the novice. I was surprised by the quality of the writing, given that these were on-line, real time interviews. Pick this up and enjoy.
